Your whole weekend happens in one place: pre-wedding drinks around the fire pit outside Epoche, a ceremony and reception a short walk from your room, and a long, slow recovery brunch the morning after. The estate is close to the cellar doors and blissfully private. From the proposal to the first anniversary dinner, we are here for all of it.

Multiple function spaces indoors and outdoors to suit your needs, from intimate celebrations in the Valley View Room to 200 guests for dinner in the Hunter Rothbury Room. Each reception room has its own outdoor space for pre-dinner drinks and canapés: the Secret Garden for the Hunter Rothbury Room, the courtyard for the James Busby Room and the full-length verandah for the Valley View Room.

Located within the privacy of our Kirkton Park Convention Centre, the Hunter Rothbury Room is ideally located with a wraparound verandah with Hunter farmland and wine country views.
This room hosts up to 200 guests for dinner or 320 for cocktails, and has a beautiful well-lit private foyer for pre-dinner mingling, drinks or light catering. This space is 255 square metres and has a ceiling height of 3.6 metres.
James Busby Room

Centrally located within our main Hotel building, the James Busby Room hosts up to 110 guests for dinner or 150 for cocktails. and is ideal for intimate and classic receptions. Beautifully appointed with an abundance of natural light, ornate ceilings, and chandeliers. This room also boasts an adjoining courtyard for post-ceremony drinks/ canapes. This space is 180 square metres and has a ceiling height of 3.3 metres.
Valley View Room

Located discreetly beneath our Reg Drayton Wing, our Valley View Room is the perfect private room for small wedding parties. This space is equipped with a full length verandah, the Valley View Room is complete with exquisite views of the Brokenback Mountain ranges. An ideal space for a more intimate wedding experience.
Wedding accommodation in the Hunter Valley, right where you marry
Our 70 rooms and suites are a short walk from every ceremony and reception space, so older guests and families can head to bed whenever they like. Most rooms and suites have a balcony, verandah or terrace, with views over the gardens or the valley.
For the whole estate: our Exclusively Yours package gives you all 70 rooms and every space on the estate, so you can book out the bar and Locavore or use multiple spaces across the weekend.
For your wedding party
The Manor House is a whole house of 19 rooms with a bridal prep room inside. Book all 19 and you can also hold your reception in the Manor Garden. Subject to availability.
For your guests
There are options for family and friends to stay, at better rates than we offer publicly. Your wedding coordinator will talk you through them.
For the couple
A suite for the wedding night, then stay on and let the honeymoon start slowly, with the heated pool house, one of the only indoor pool houses in the Hunter Valley, the sauna and spa bath, and the cellar doors minutes away.

Every reception package includes your venue, pre-dinner drinks and canapés, a menu from our estate to plate kitchen, a locally sourced wine and beer package, cake cutting, tables, chairs and linen, and a menu tasting for the couple. Most packages offer a choice of plated or shared grazing menus, and Under the Stars in the Manor Garden is a chef-served buffet.

How to find us
We are in the heart of Pokolbin on Oakey Creek Road, around 2 hours from Sydney and about 1 hour from Newcastle Airport via the Hunter Valley Expressway. Drive up the tree-lined driveway and past the ducks to the manor, where parking is free and plentiful for you and your guests.
Our estate to plate ethos
Your wedding menu draws on our kitchen garden and the Hunter Valley’s growers, artisan producers and wineries, and takes shape with you and our chefs. Head Chef Daniel Taggart has spent more than 20 years in luxury hotels and resorts and is known for his wedding and banquet menus. In his words: “My approach is always to let quality local ingredients shine through simple, well-executed cooking techniques.” Depending on your package, choose a plated, shared grazing or buffet menu.

Your wedding coordinator plans everything with you from the first site inspection, including on-site coordination on your wedding day. Because the ceremony, the reception, the rooms and the recovery brunch all happen on one estate, our wedding team looks after all of it.

Yes, and most do. The estate has 70 rooms and suites a few minutes’ walk from the ceremony and reception spaces. We can offer special rates for your guests, either in your wedding contract or through a booking link with the rate built in, subject to availability. Your wedding coordinator will talk you through the options.

The most popular spots are the Secret Garden for the Hunter Rothbury Room and the James Busby Courtyard for the James Busby Room. With 70 acres to choose from, other locations can be arranged for an additional set-up fee.
Yes. Gather the night before around the fire pit at the Pizzeria, just outside Epoche, or take Locavore Private for a relaxed pre-wedding dinner, then bring everyone back together the next morning for a recovery brunch or a post-wedding high tea. Your coordinator will build it into your weekend.
No. We are a fully licensed venue, so all food and drinks are prepared and served by our team. Our menus are built around Hunter Valley produce and can be tailored to you.
Yes. Our wedding packages include a menu tasting for the couple, arranged with your wedding coordinator before the day.
Round or long tables, chairs, a cake table, linen, glassware and cutlery. Your wedding packages list the full inclusions, and your coordinator can talk you through anything extra.
We can arrange audio visual for your wedding through our AV partner, Bax Audio Visual, and provide a quote for what you need. Your wedding coordinator will organise it with you.
We are set on 70 acres but we do have neighbours and other guests on the estate, so music is turned down at 11pm and celebrations conclude at midnight.
For most of the year, yes. Our roses are cut back over winter so they bloom in full for spring, the most popular season for Hunter Valley weddings.
We work with a range of local photographers, florists, stylists and celebrants. Ask your coordinator for our current recommended supplier list.
Monday to Friday between 9am and 5pm with one of our wedding coordinators. If weekends suit you better, let us know and we will send our Wedding Guide for a self-guided walk around the estate.
