Everything an escape needs, minutes from the vines
Swim year round in our heated pool house, one of the only indoor pool houses in the Hunter Valley, then unwind in the sauna and spa bath beside it. When the weather turns, the fires in our common areas and the firepits out on the lawns are where everyone ends up, drink in hand. Book a picnic hamper, or follow the walking trails around the estate with a coffee in hand. Some of the Hunter Valley’s best-known cellar doors are minutes from the gate, with Hunter Valley Gardens and the Wildlife Park close by. Back on the estate, dinner at Locavore Restaurant and a nightcap at Epoche Bar are a short stroll from your room, and high tea in The Conservatory is a Hunter Valley tradition worth building an afternoon around.

Close to the Hunter Valley’s cellar doors, gardens and concert venues, yet blissfully private, voco Kirkton Park sits at 336 Oakey Creek Road, in the heart of Pokolbin, which is about as central as Hunter Valley wine country gets. Audrey Wilkinson and Brokenwood are under a ten-minute drive, with Peterson House and Hunter Valley Gardens close by, and Cessnock town centre is twelve minutes away. The hotel is around two hours by road from Sydney and about an hour from Newcastle Airport, with Singleton train station half an hour away. Transfers can be arranged through Vineyard Shuttle Service, our local transport partner, and they are worth booking ahead, as transport options in the region are limited.
