Our Manor Garden is a vivid outdoor ceremony space featuring remarkable Hunter Valley views, a private entrance, fairy lights, a rose garden, and a stunning fountain water feature.

Back Fence

Located within the privacy of our Kirkton Park Convention Centre, the Hunter Rothbury Room is ideally located with a wraparound verandah with Hunter farmland and wine country views.

This room can cater from 80-180 guests boasts a beautiful well-lit private foyer for pre-dinner mingling, drinks or light catering. This space is 255 square metres and has a ceiling height of 3.6 metres.

James Busby Room

Centrally located within our main Hotel building, the James Busby Room fits 40-100 seated guests and is ideal for intimate and classic receptions. Beautifully appointed with an abundance of natural light, ornate ceilings, and chandeliers. This room also boasts an adjoining courtyard for post-ceremony drinks/ canapes. This space is 180 square metres and has a ceiling height of 3.3 metres.

Valley View Room

Located discreetly beneath our Reg Drayton Wing, our Valley View Room is the perfect private room for small wedding parties. This space is equipped with a full length verandah, the Valley View Room is complete with exquisite views of the Brokenback Mountain ranges. An ideal space for a more intimate wedding experience.

We’re conveniently located in the heart of Pokolbin on Oakey Creek Rd after an easy 2.5-hour drive from Sydney on the Pacific Motorway or a short 45-minute journey by car from Newcastle airport via the Hunter Valley Expressway. Drive through the iron gates, up the tree-lined driveway, and past the ducks to our stunning manor estate where you’ll find free ample parking.

We would just like to thank the staff at Voco Kirkton Park for going above and beyond on our wedding day. A big shout out to Amelia, our legendary venue coordinator, who really was just amazing and made sure we were looked after the whole day. Having everything at the one venue – ceremony, reception, photos, and accommodation – was honestly the best and made the day so enjoyable for us and our guests. The grounds are beautiful, the food was delicious and it was amazing all our guests could stay at the one location. Our guests particularly loved the pool and spa! Thanks so much, Kirkton Park team.

Kirkton Park provided the perfect wedding package for our ceremony and reception. The location is beautiful for some country-esque photos looking across at the nearby mountains. The food was amazing and the staff could not have been more helpful. They made the whole process very easy with a dedicated wedding coordinator, and had lists of recommended vendors for decorators and flowers nearby. Can’t thank them enough for making our day perfect!

FAQ's

  1. We can host up to 150 guests seated and 300 guests cocktail style. 
  1. We would love to host you onsite Monday to Friday between 9am – 4:30pm. If you are only available on the weekends, please let us know and we can provide you with our Wedding Guide for self-guided walk around our beautiful estate . Our lovely reception team also have these packs available for you to collect should you wish to pop in!
  1. Unfortunately, we do not allow external catering or outsourced alcohol as we are a fully licensed venue.
  1. With 70 acres the options are endless, however the most popular location would be the Secret Garden for our Hunter Rothbury Room and the James Busby Courtyard for the James Busby Room. Other locations can be arranged and confirmed for an additional set-up fee.
  1. We absolutely do. This is available for our “Under the Stars” package and our “Exclusively Yours” package with our most popular location being our magnificent Manor Garden.
  1. We have 70 accommodation rooms onsite and our pricing can fluctuate daily based on a variety of different circumstances. It is best to contact our onsite wedding coordinator to discuss the details of your stay and accommodation requirements. They can assist with providing you with our best available rates and discuss any other options available. We would love to host all your wedding guests onsite with us!
  1. We are situated on 70 acres of property however we do have neighbours close by! To respect our neighbours and other onsite guests, noise must be reduced at 11 pm with celebrations concluding at midnight.
  1. All our onsite Audio Visual is provided through our AV partner Bax Audio Visual. If you would like to obtain a quote from Bax Audio Visual, please contact our onsite wedding coordinator and they can assist with providing contact information.
  1. Included in all our ceremony packages is an onsite wet weather location. Based on your guest numbers, this would either be our Valley View, James Busby, or Hunter Rothbury. If choosing our “Exclusively Yours” Package, you would be able to choose any indoor onsite locations – including our stunning Epoche Bar!
  1. We are very fortunate to have gorgeous roses that bloom for the majority of the year! Due to the climate in the Hunter Valley, our roses are cut back during the winter months to ensure that they bloom with full potential for spring – the most popular season for weddings!
  1. Our property is most definitely pet friendly! Our pet lover accommodation packages allow you to include your furry family member on your special day. There are terms and conditions that surround this package so please get in contact with us to discuss further.
  1. We work with a range of lovely suppliers within the area. For our up-to-date recommended supplier list please reach out to our onsite wedding coordinator
  1. We can provide round or long tables, chairs, cake table, linen, glassware and cutlery. For our full list of inclusions, please refer to our wedding packages or speak with your onsite wedding coordinator.
  1. Included in our “Under the Stars”, “Dining in the Valley”, “By The Roses”, and “Country Escape” packages we have a menu tasting included for the couple. Depending on your package your complimentary menu tasting consists of – Plated Menu = 2 dishes per course, Grazing Menu = Main dishes. This is organised with your onsite wedding coordinator approximately 6 months prior to your wedding date.
